A visit from the Peruvian Ministry of Education. They loooked at a number of our schools and offered thanks for our work in recruiting and educating children which seem to be beyond their reach. Our campaign: "DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR STREET CHILDREN!" is beginning to pick up momentum in centres where lots of international tourists are encountering Peru's child laborers on a daily basis.The object of the campaign is to recruit volunteers from the tourist population who visit Peru each year,

We have opened a number of schools in Chiclayo, Peru's 4th largest city. We send our volunteers up from Trujillo to satellite centres in the barrios, and there they help Chiclayo's very poorest children..

Our Chiclayo centre is in a lovely house right in the centre of town, near to shops, internet cafe and all the amenities required to live comfortable in a modern city. Our landlord is one of our volunteer doctors.

Dr. Maria Kunstadter, well known US Dentist (one of our Directors), brought her children and a staff of other assistants to our new Cajamarca Centre. They managed to treat nearly 100 children at a one day clinic.
