Dear Bruce,

Thank you for providing the opportunity to help the children of Peru.

Bruce Peru is addressing a need that everyone else overlooks -
the needs of children left out of a presumably free and accessible
educational system.
In our search for volunteer work we wanted something challenging,
where we could truly feel part of a community and where we could
see our contribution at work every day.
What better place than Bruce Peru!
We worked hard - but we did this out of love for the children and
commitment to the mission.
Who can question the mission of educating young children?
And what better reward than the smiling faces that greeted us every day!
Working side-by-side with Peruvian volunteers, teaching classes in reading,
writing and arithmetic, coordinating essential services and programs for the kids
-- it was all worthwhile.
In our 6 months with Bruce Peru we saw a lot and made many friends.
It was so, so hard to go; however, we will carry the memories forever
and plan to support you wherever we are.
