| This
has been a year of unusual opportunity, accomplishment, disaster, suffering, recovery
and satisfaction. It began with our opening three new centres,
one in Peru (with two schools), in Quito, Ecuador (with two schools), and in Panama
(with three schools). We began to receive talented long term volunteers. The first
half of the year passed with great progress and the promise of more to come: two
more centres in two more South American countries to be opened before the year's
end. | |
In 2001 we began as volunteers using our own funds.
Now 40 schools and several thousand students later, we
slowly spread through the Americas.
